Help for Your Baby & Donate for Diapers

How can I get supplies for my baby? How can I help young families?

Below are links to non-profit diaper banks in Washington.  Please let us know of other resources aimed at baby care and young families during COVID-19. Donating to support diaper distribution directly helps families struggling to make ends meet and happy babies help parents cope.  WIC and SNAP (foodstamps) assistance to do not support diaper purchase.

WestSide Baby.org

WestSide Baby is the only nonprofit collecting and distributing diapers and basic needs items for babies and children in Western King County. 23% of families with young children across King County cannot afford enough diapers to keep their child healthy.  Westside Baby relies on community support to distribute these essentials to thousands of families keeping them safe, warm and dry. For health safety reasons, Westside Baby has suspended in-kind donation of items. To make a financial contribution,  DONATE HERE.

Eastside Baby Corner.org (West Sound & Northshore)

Eastside Baby Corner (EBC) based in Issaquah with locations and service in King and Snohomish counties (Issaquah, Kenmore, Bremerton) helps kids thrive by providing basic necessities for children so that EBC’s partners – schools, human service agencies, food banks, hospitals – can help families become stable, safe, housed, fed and employed. Read about their response to COVID-19 on the News page. EBC has suspended donations of used goods but will accept new goods and financial donations, DONATE HERE. Babies of Homelessness.org (Greater Puget Sound)

Babies of Homelessness is committed to addressing the basic needs gap for families in Puget Sound region.  Says BoH: “Our focus is on diapers, wipes, and formula, but families need more. We partner with other agencies to supply strollers, car seats and much more. Our ability to be a direct service provider of necessities within 72 hours without the long waitlist or referral process is what truly makes our nonprofit unique. During COVID-19, Babies of Homelessness is not accepting new volunteers. Please visit the financial donations page to DONATE HERE and see what your donation buys in diapers, formula, and wipes.

Baby Basics Bellevue  (Bellevue)

Baby Basics Bellevue  of Bellevue is a nonprofit affiliate of Baby Basics National Development Corporation. Baby Basics of Bellevue, Washington is a 100% volunteer organization that provides and distributes free diapers to babies of the working/near poor in the communities of Bellevue Washington.Baby Basics Bellevue has distributed over 250,000 diapers and counting to financially fragile low-income families in our community.

The Diaper Bank of Skagit County  (La Conner)

The Diaper Bank of Skagit County  in La Conner works to ensure that families living in poverty have an adequate supply of diapers for their infants and toddlers. By providing diapers, a basic need, DBSC is positively impacting the well-being of parents and the health of children, moving the whole family toward educational and economic security. Dry Tikes and Wet Wipes (Tumwater/Olympia)

Dry Tikes and Wet Wipes of Olympia is a non profit 501(c)(3) organization based in Olympia, designed to supplement the diaper needs of low income families. If you are in need of diapers, Dry Tikes & Wet Wipes will provide you with 15-20 diapers twice a month.  To support their work, DONATE HERE.

Tri-Cities Diaper Bank  (Pasco)

Tri-Cities Diaper Bank  –  in Pasco is a program of Adventist Community Services. The Tri-Cities Diaper Bank is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that collects diapers through community diaper drives and partners with local agencies who distribute them to infants in need through established programs and guidelines. Inland NW Diaper Bank (Spokane Valley Partners)

Inland NW Diaper Bank  is a program of Spokane Valley Partners to assist community agencies serving families through Eastern Washington. The Inland Northwest Diaper Bank currently supplies 16 benefiting agencies an average of 10,000 diapers per month to help support their clients. We have changed the lives of the 23,000+ Spokane County children experiencing poverty.

Vanessa Behan.org (Spokane Area)

VanessaBehan.org is a nonprofit that helps parents who are having difficulty providing safe shelter and care for their children. You can support their COVID emergency plan to care for up to 40 children per day, DONATE HERE.

Grassroot Projects (King and Snohomish)

Grassroots Project on the web and on FaceBook at https://www.facebook.com/grassrootprojects.  Grassroot Projects assists low income immigrant/ refugee families with basic necessities ( including diapers) as well. They serve King and Snohomish counties and have assisted families Marysville to Burien. To support their work, DONATE HERE.

The Maternal Coalition

The Maternal Coalition works toward a mission that all pregnant and parenting people will have access to equitable and just care during all points of pregnancy and through the first year postpartum. Next Step Pregnancy Services

Next Step Pregnancy Services in Lynnwood provides diapers, maternity and baby clothing, (under usual circumstances) gear such as car seats, swings, etc. They are usually open afternoons – call for more info. PREPARES of Catholic Community Services

The PREPARES program (an acronym for Pregnancy and Parenting Support) through Catholic Community Services provides diapers, formula, and other support to families with kids 0-5. Right now they are gathering diapers, especially size 4, 5, 6, and wipes to be (safely) delivered directly to families in need.
